Security cameras, an alarm system, and a restraining order were not enough to stop a fugitive ex-boyfriend from killing a woman this week. A firearm would have been a much better tool for protection, but in this case the woman was killed while waiting for her gun permit to be processed.

I really hate stories like this. They make me sick. But it needs to be reported, and this story needs to be told so that people will begin to understand that the right to own and carry firearms is as important as the right to live.

Show this story to the next anti-gunner who says we need longer waiting times for those who wish to purchase and own firearms for protection.

Carol Bowne was stabbed and killed in her driveway on Wednesday after filing a restraining order against her former boyfriend, 45-year-old Michael Eitel, who was a fugitive and convicted felon.

According to courierpostonline.com,

“She got a restraining order about a month ago, and right after that her car windows were broken,” said O’Hara.
