With 9 Million Residents in NJ Only 496 Concealed Carry Permits Were Issued in 2014

We all know that New Jersey is one of the least gun-friendly states in all the US. In fact Guns and Ammo ranked it at #48. But for a while we have been trying to get some real numbers as to how many residents in New Jersey are actually able to get a concealed carry permit.

The state has made it nearly impossible to get a CCW permit and the video at the end of this post shows just how daunting the task can be.

According to Ammoland we now know just how few are able to get their permits, even though the local government in NJ insists they uphold the 2nd amendment rights of NJ citizens.

Citizens For A Safer NJ submitted an Open Public Records Act request to the NJ State Police early this month. We asked for the following:
