Wilson Combat 458 HAMR Being Called ‘Most Powerful Carbine Ever’

Wilson Combat has introduced its brand new 458 HAMR carbine for 2018. In the hype video below, the Wilson Combat 458 HAMR is touted as being the “hardest hitting, most powerful AR carbine ever produced,” packing even more punch than the .450 Bushmaster, .458SOCOM and .50 Beowulf.

The Wilson Combat 458 HAMR is chambered in the all-new .458 HAM’R cartridge, which the company says is capable of handling pressures up to 46,000 PSI while offering up 3,000 foot pounds of energy out of an 18-inch barrel.

The gun uses “hybrid” length receivers and BCG’s that are 0.75 inches shorter than a standard AR10. Meanwhile, it’s fed from a Lancer AR15 mag.
