Mossberg recently dropped its latest addition to the Patriot family of rifles, the 6.5 PRC Patriot Predator. We got the chance to send some rounds downrange at the recent Athlon Outdoor Rendezvous, and Mossberg’s newest long-range bolt gun impressed. Capable for hunting or long-range competition, the remarkable low price makes the new Patriot Predator an instant competitor in what is becoming a very popular category.

Mossberg 6.5 PRC Patriot Predator

The new 6.5 PRC Patriot Predator comes with either a Flat Dark Earth or True Timber Strata camouflage synthetic stock. Matte blue metal adorns the former, while the latter sports a Patriot Brown Cerakote.

The rifles feature Mossberg’s twin-lug, push-feed machined-steel action. It feeds from a lightweight polymer, flush four-round box magazine. The standard contour, free-floating 24-inch barrel features a 1:8 twist. Straight-edge fluting 5/8″-24 threading for suppressors adds versatility. It ships with a protective cap as well. Meanwhile, the barrel is constructed of carbon steel, featuring a matte blue or Cerakote finish.
