Second Annual Holiday Event to Benefit Fort Smith Public School Foundation.

FORT SMITH, Ark. –-(Ammoland.com)- George Washington of Mount Vernon is bringing his friend, Thomas Jefferson of Colonial Williamsburg, to Fort Smith for the second annual An Evening with George Washington, A U.S. Marshals Museum Holiday Event on Monday, December 12.

While in town, the two historical figures will also visit students at Fort Smith public schools.

“There’s no better way to kick off the holiday season than this event,” said Patrick Weeks, president and CEO of the U.S. Marshals Museum. “Come join the museum for a night of entertainment, lively conversation and delicious food and drinks—all for a good cause.”

An Evening with George Washington will take place from 6:30-9:00 p.m. at the Bonneville House, located at 318 North 7th Street in the Belle Grove Historic District.

Throughout the event, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson will enlighten guests with their differing opinions of the role of the federal judiciary, including the U.S. Marshals. Guests may also enjoy carriage rides, 18th century dance lessons and an 18th century inspired menu by River City Bistro.
