COLLEGE STATION, TX – -(Ammoland.com)- The Corps of Cadets Marksmanship Unit (CCMU) participated in the annual meeting of Combat Weapons Teams from each of the United States Service Academies and Senior Military Academies hosted by the prestigious United States Army Marksmanship Unit on their Krilling Range at Ft. Benning, Ga.

Attending were the units from all four United States Service Academies (USMA at West Point, USNA at Annapolis, United States Air Force Academy and United States Coast Guard Academy), they were joined at the match by two of the six US Senior Military Academies, Texas A&M and Virginia Military Institute (VMI).

The CCMU squad of 13 shooters, 5 designated as the official “team” for score in the match, won the match Championship Trophy. The CCMU five-cadet scored-team finished 84 match points ahead of 2nd place USMA. Third place was taken by USNA.

The CCMU team placed five cadets in the Top 10 of the match and eight in the Top 20, including the #1 High Overall Shooter, CCMU team Commander, Cadet Zach Williams ’16. CCMU Cadet Naomi Boyer ’16 was also …read more
