Teenager Shoots Ex-Boyfriend In Self-Defense After He Broke Into Her Home

MIDWEST CITY, OKLAHOMA — An 18-year-old woman shot and killed her ex-boyfriend after police say he tried to enter her home through a window.

It happened late Thursday while the young woman was at her mother’s home, where she lives. The ex-boyfriend allegedly broke into the home through a window, and that’s when the young woman opened fire.

The ex-boyfriend, said to be in his 20’s, was found deceased by police when they arrived to the scene.

Police say there was a history of domestic violence between the two.

Later on, police confirmed that the ex-boyfriend had a gun with him when he broke into the home, and that he also attacked the young woman. Breaking away from the attack, that’s when the young woman grabbed a gun of her own and fired once. She then ran to a neighbor’s home.

When people are unarmed and faced with danger such as this, tragedy can occur. Luckily in this case, the young woman was able to successfully defend herself against a very real threat.
