Taurus USA expands its semi-automatic handgun series with the introduction of the new Taurus G2S sub-compact pistol.
The striker-fired, single action G2S, chambered in 9mm. and .40 S&W, shares a similar design to the company’s G2C series but in a smaller package. Measuring 1.10-inches in width and 4.8-inches in height, the G2S weights in a 20.25-ounces loaded. The pistol offers a “comfortably-sized trigger guard” with a smooth edge to accommodate both small and larger paws.
“The G2S satisfies the “concealed” expectations of the subcompact handgun buyer while delivering a robust grip and operational ergonomics on par with larger-frame pistols,” Taurus USA said in a news release. “This is due largely to the intelligently designed polymer frame and ‘sticky’ stippling patches strategically placed along the grip.”
Both the 9mm and .40 S&W models come in two variants — matte black carbon steel or matte stainless steel.  Equipped with a manual safety, the G2S also sports the ability to integrate with lights and lasers using its 1913 Picatinny rail.
The Taurus G2S is priced at $316 for the black model and $332 for the stainless steel version.
