SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – -(Ammoland.com)- Smith & Wesson announced today that Matt Spafford has been promoted to Media Manager, Firearms Division, effective immediately.

In this new role, Spafford and his team will be responsible for growing relationships with key media contacts, managing professional sponsorships, and overseeing marketing communications to promote future growth of the Firearms brands.

“We are very excited to have Matt transition to his new role as Media Manager,” said Shaun Phelan, Director of Marketing for Smith & Wesson. “Matt’s passion for the industry and diverse marketing experience will significantly benefit our media relationships and help to develop new, exciting pathways to deliver our marketing communications.”

Spafford joined Smith & Wesson in 2015 as Channel Marketing Manager, with responsibility for channel promotional activities, field sales support and retail branding initiatives.
