Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders has taken a lot of heat for voting for The Protection of Lawful Commerce Act. Signed into law in 2005 by Bush the Younger, it prevents victims of firearms-related crime from suing gun makers for the illegal use of their legal products. Germany has no such law. Which is why German “anti-weapons campaigner” Jürgen Grässlin [above] is proceeding with a lawsuit against SIG SAUER for producing an American-made SIG used in a Mexican mass murder. It follows a ban on German SIG exports after “tens of thousands” of U.S.-made guns ended-up in Colombia without an export license, and a similar action against Heckler & Koch for the “seepage” of German-made G36 to Mexican cartels.
