SHOT Show 2017 Kicks Off at Sands Expo in Las Vegas

It’s finally here, folks. The 39th Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show (SHOT Show) officially kicked off this morning in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This week will see 65,000 firearms and outdoor industry professionals, not to mention 2,500 members of the outdoor press, descend on the Sands Expo Center to check out the latest and greatest products for target shooting, hunting, outdoor recreation and law enforcement applications.

The annual event — open to trade members only and not to the public — is owned and sponsored by the NSSF (National Shooting Sports Foundation), and it’s the largest trade show of its kind in the world. To get an idea just how big SHOT Show 2017 really is, check out this paragraph from the NSSF press release below.

The show is the largest event hosted at the Sands Expo Center and attracts buyers from all 50 states and more than 100 countries, hosting more than 1,600 exhibiting companies across show floor space that exceeds 630,000 net square feet-equivalent to more than 13 acres.
