Shaneen Allen is Finally Out of the Woods

On September 26, Jim Mclain, Prosecutor for Atlantic County, New Jersey, announced that he will not be seeking a prison sentence for Shaneen Allen. The Philadelphia working mother of two was infamously arrested on October 1, 2013 on weapons charges after she revealed to a New Jersey state trooper during a routine traffic stop that she was in possession of a firearm. Allen, 27, is a Pennsylvania concealed carry permit holder and was unaware that New Jersey does not have a reciprocal agreement with Pennsylvania concerning such permits.
