PHOENIX, AZ — A man creating a disturbance in a Jack in the Box in Phoenix, Arizona was shot and killed after repeatedly stating that he was going to kill the security guard at the restaurant, KSAZ reports.

You might be thinking “What fast food restaurant needs a security guard?”

Well, unfortunately, it appears that his need has been proven.

According to KSAZ:

According to police, the shooting happened at a fast food restaurant… on Wednesday night. Police say the 23-year-old security guard shot a 64-year-old man, who died at the scene. Phoenix police say the security guard was involved in a confrontation with the man, who refused to leave the property and threatened to kill the security guard.

When the man continued to threaten the security guard, the guard displayed a handgun and shot the man. According to the Associated Press, the security guard said he was backing away when he shot the man.

I would be curious how witnesses would describe the scene, and here’s why:
