Ruger introduces stainless American Rimfire rifles in 3 calibers

Sturm, Ruger & Company debuted a trio of new offerings Wednesday to its bolt-action American Rimfire line — all featuring a 416 stainless steel barrel, bolt and receiver.
The new entries, available in .22 LR, .22 WMR and .17 HMR, all use the same black synthetic stock and hand-buffed satin finish on the stainless components while the thread protector, bolt release, and Picatinny base are in contrasting black.
Speaking of threads, each has a 1/2-inch, 28 TPI threaded muzzle for accessories and/or suppressors. The guns semi-customize to fit the user through the modular stock system adjustable for different comb heights and lengths of pull as well as Ruger’s Marksman series adjustable trigger that can be dialed between 3 and 5 pounds.
Keeping it simple, all three rifles have a six-groove, 18-inch cold hammer-forged free-floating barrel with varying twists — 1-in-16-inch RH for .22 LR, 1-in-14-inch RH for .22 WMR, and 1-in-9-inch RH for .17 HMR.
The .22 LR version, like other Ruger American Rimfires, uses the standard 10/22 magazine system while the other two rifles accept the company’s JMX-1 nine-round rotary magazine.
