Rick Ector Talks the Ossian Sweet Case on Home Defense Show

Earlier this week, a huge announcement was made in the city of Detroit that the home of Dr. Ossian Sweet was going to be turned into a public exhibit. I welcomed the news but hated that a couple of gun-hating public figures were part of
that press release.

As I explained to my followers, it is a disservice to the memory of Dr. Sweet to have folks who hate your guns to announce that the man, who was prosecuted for defending his residence, was being lauded by gun control proponents.

When modern day supporters of gun control show up for a photo in front of the Ossian Sweet House in Detroit, they are calling you ignorant.

Dr. Ossian Sweet defended his home from over 100 racists and was arrested, charged, tried, but exonerated. His “not guilty” verdict was the impetus behind the Michigan Firearms Act of 1927. It was designed to keep black people from being able to protect their homes from racists.
