Renewed debate expected for Colorado’s gun laws

In 2013 following the Aurora theater shooting and the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary in Connecticut, Democrats in the state Legislature narrowly passed new laws requiring universal background checks and banning magazines that hold more than 15 rounds.
