“I think that’s negative. That’s not probably supposed to be. I think it’s not proper, it’s improper to have guns in school,” proclaimed Neptune Middle School parent Armando Vega when informed that eighth grade teacher Gema Evans had illustrated a history lesson with – gasp! – a prop rifle. Thankfully, not every parent staggered toward the fainting couch when they heard the news. As parent Maurice Dellafano pointed out, “It’s just a prop. No big deal.
