An attempted smash and grab burglary at a Parma, Ohio, gun shop last week didn’t work out as planned when the suspects got inside the building only to realize the guns were under lock and key.
The suspects used a stolen Jeep to crash through the front doors of On Target Firearms around 4 a.m. Surveillance video captured the trio – believed to be two females and a male – rummaging through the business while a fourth suspect waited outside.
But the suspects walked out near empty-handed, with only a few magazines.
“The firearms were locked up so they couldn’t get to them,” said Parma police Capt. Kevin Riley.
Authorities recovered the stolen vehicle, which was abandoned, a few blocks from the gun shop. The suspects remain at large and unidentified.
