Valerie Jarrett, a senior advisor to President Barack Obama, responded to an intentionally outrageous gun question during an online “gun violence” Q&A Monday, endorsing new technology that makes guns “smarter.”

Jarrett was asked, “My idea is guns with microchips that can be remotely disabled. Your thoughts?”

And she actually responded.

“Technology has changed our world. We can learn lots from the research on how to make guns “smarter.”

A quick glance at the profile of the Twitter user, @Beer_Wolf, shows he is openly pro-gun — and a big fan of “trolling” and sarcasm.

While Jarrett technically didn’t endorse the “microchip” idea, she entertained the question, which was enough to set her critics off.
