TAFT, Ca. – -(Ammoland.com)- The Taft Union High School Trap Club in Taft, California, has received guns, ammunition, targets, cleaning supplies, and eye and ear protection thanks to grants from The NRA Foundation facilitated by the Central California Friends of NRA.

Organized in 2013 by recently retired TUHS Maintenance, Operations & Transportation Manager Gary Morris, the trap club is quickly growing in popularity. Each potential trap club member must complete the NRA FIRST Steps Shotgun Orientation Training, possess the physical, mental and emotional maturity to participate in a team shooting sport, and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA to be eligible to participate.

“Club members appreciate that without the fundraising Friends of NRA does for The NRA Foundation grant program, the Taft Union High School Trap Club would not exist,” said Friends of NRA Volunteer Coleen Morris.
