Magpul has updated its Universal Battle Rifle (UBR) collapsible stock with the UBR Gen2, building on a strong and popular platform.

The UBR Gen2 boasts a 20-percent reduction in weight over the previous model, and it debuts at a reduced price point as well. The slim stock slides fore and aft to give a full range of length-of-pull adjustments, and the improved interface between the moving components results in a remarkably tight-feeling, zero-slop lockup that is similar in feel to a fixed stock.

The UBR Gen2 features integral quick-detach (QD) points for slings with QD interfaces, such as the Magpul QD Sling, and features an integral storage compartment for storing spare batteries, cleaning equipment and other small items.

The polymer construction is dimensionally stable in a wide range of temperatures, and the non-slip buttpad helps shooters hold the stock firmly against their shoulder despite intermediate coats, vests or other layers. Available colors include Flat Dark Earth, black, OD green and stealth gray.
