New For 2015: Patriot Ordnance’s Renegade Plus Upper

On the heels of its Renegade rifle series, Patriot Ordnance Factory has released its Renegade Plus Upper.

The complete direct impingement upper receiver features the 14.5-inch Renegade rail system, POF-USA Dictator 9 position adjustable gas block, and a POF-USA Ultimate Bolt Carrier Group.

The 1 MOA capable 16.5-inch nitride heat treated barrel is made from 4150 Mil-B-11595 (machine gun rated steel) and features a medium contour and E2 chamber dual extraction technology.

A straight gas tube allows for reduced heat build up.

The 14.5-inch free floating Renegade handguard is M-LOK compatible and comes with four integrated QD (quick disconnect) sling mounts. It also features an integrated five-slot picatinny rail section for secure bi-pod mounting.

The POF-USA Ultimate Bolt Carrier Group is cut from a solid piece of alloy steel, which eliminates the need to stake a gas key in place. This is important because it removes the chances of a gas key screw coming loose under extreme operation and causing a catastrophic malfunction.

Also, the POF-USA patented Roller Cam Pin upgrade reduces friction and pre-mature wear within the upper receiver

At 4 pounds and 6 ounces, the Renegade Plus Upper is incredibly lightweight.
