Earlier this week MTV posted a video titled, “MTV’s resolutions for white guys.”

In the video an array of people discuss specific grievances directed at white males that they should change for the upcoming New Year.

From ‘mansplaining’ to ‘blue lives matter’, the video basically degrades white guys for being the cause of all that is wrong in the world.

Now explain how this isn’t racist?

If a video was made directing black people, hispanics, or Muslims on what they need to do to be better in the coming year, there would be blood in the streets.

Lumping an entire group into one category and saying that they are the problem for something is historically racist, even if it is white males.

If you disagree try this fun exercise:

Start a sentence with any other race or gender. Then follow it up with a negative statement.

You’ll quickly realize that the statement you make following said race and gender will more than likely be considered racist.

Don’t believe me?

Try it out in public and see how people respond.

Side note, who knew that MTV was even still around?

Seems like this is just a sad attempt to stay relevant.
