Massachusetts man gets 10 years for selling crack cocaine and firearms

A Springfield, Massachusetts, man was sentenced to 10 years in prison for distributing cocaine and crack cocaine and for selling firearms.
According to a Justice Department news release, 35-year-old Eric Vale was also sentenced to five years supervised release, in addition to the 10 years in prison. Vale pleaded guilty to the crimes in January.
On Aug. 27, 2013, Vale sold a Davis Industries .380 caliber pistol and four rounds of .380 caliber ammunition to a convicted felon. Vale again sold .380 ammunition to the same individual, and on a third occasion sold the felon an FEG 9mm pistol and four rounds of 9mm ammunition.
Vale also admitted to distributing crack cocaine and cocaine in three separate instances, all of which occurred in Springfield.
