The MARS NGSW submission light machine gun features an 18-inch barrel.


The NGSW light machine gun is chambered in 6.8mm.
The MARS NGSW submission for carbine features a 13-inch barrel.
MARS and Cobalt Kinetics will include an onboard power source and central data module.
Little is known about the government-provided 6.8mm ammo for the NGSW submission.

MARS, Inc. and Cobalt Kinetics recently partnered to produce rifles and light machines guns for the Army’s Next Generation Squad Weapon (NGSW) solicitations. The program attempts to replace not only the firearm, but also update the cartridge performance with the 6.8.
