Marissa Alexander, the Florida woman who tried to claim a “stand your ground” defense after leaving the home to retrieve a handgun from her car that she then shot at her estranged husband, has pled guilty to all counts in a deal with prosecutors that will grant her a reduced sentence on at least some of the charges.

Facing a possible 60 years in prison for firing a gun at her estranged husband and his two sons, Marissa Alexander agreed Monday to a plea deal that effectively ends the four-year old criminal case against her.
