TULSA, OK — Tulsa police have released surveillance photos of two thieves involved in the theft of an AR-15 from a local gun shop on April 15th. According to police, one of the men slipped an AR-15 down his pants and walked out of the store. He drove away and successfully shoplifted the rifle around 5:30 p.m.

The rifle was valued at $1,300.

Either this man had some ridiculously baggy pants or the workers were not paying attention at all to the shoppers who were exiting the building. Actually, it was probably both. There are two things that are hard to believe about this story. First, I can’t believe this guy felt confident that he could get away with stuffing an AR-15 down his pants and walk out the door. Second, I can’t believe he got away with it.

It’s a weird world that we live in.

Anyone in Oklahoma with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS or text TIP918 to CRIMES.
