Man Jacks Car, Crashes It, Crashes It Again, Then Tries to Weaponize It, Finally Runs When Fired On

WINSTON SALEM, NC — When one man lifted a car from downtown Winston-Salem, NC, the last thing he needed to do was call attention to himself by getting into an accident or altercation.

He did both. One of them twice.

The moron crashed the car into a random vehicle not far from the scene of the initial theft, then ran off.

Then he hit a parked car — again, he just sped off for some reason, until he went for his intended grand finale: charging the first person he hit with his new-to-him stolen car with the stolen car in hopes of… getting some rage out?

It’s unknown. But what he got in return was a round fired right at him, sending him packing.

Winston-Salem police said Bernard Antonio Downing was driving a vehicle at about 4 p.m. that had been stolen from the 400 block of N. Main Street.
