The world of handguns encompasses a great number of different kinds of firearms. From single-shots to revolvers to semiautomatics, there are many handguns designs and actions on the market today.

There are a few features that all handguns possess, however. Normally, handguns are characterized by the fact that they are designed to fit in one hand, with the other hand often being used for support. Handguns often have a shorter barrel than most rifles, have no stock and are designed for easy carry.
