IWI made headlines recently, releasing the company’s very first M4-style carbine. The IWI Zion 15 comes late to the party and enters an extremely crowded field to be sure. But at first glance, there’s a lot to like about the Zion.

The Zion sports a 16-inch barrel constructed of 4150 chrome moly vandium, along with a 15-inch free float handguard. A B5 System Stock and grip come standard, as does a 30-round Magpul PMAG. The stock collapses down to 33 inches and pushes out to 36.25 inches fully extended.
Known for the Tavor, UZI and even the Jericho and Masada pistol, the Zion presents an interesting turn for IWI. A product clearly focused on American market, it opens the door for so much more development in this realm.
