IWI’s newest version of the Tavor, which moves away from 5.56 for something a little heavier, is loaded with features.
Slathered with a Magpul M-LOK foreend and a removable Picatinny rail for accessories and optics, the rifle uses a short stroke gas piston action and comes with a 16.5-inch barrel for starters. Overall length is listed at 28.4-inches.

Surface controls — to include the bolt catch, mag release, and safety lever — are fully ambi while the ejection side and the charging handle can be switched from side to side to accommodate southpaws. A four-position gas regulator is adjustable under field conditions to accommodate a wide array of ammo choices. It uses a lot of features borrowed from the X95 including the pistol grip and is set up for SR-25 pattern mags, shipping with a Magpul.

The downside? MSRP is $2,300. Availability is sometime in 1Q 2018.
