Due to an oversight by the office of the Secretary of State, our efforts to amend Iowa’s Constitution with a Right to Keep and Bear Arms Constitutional Amendment must start over. The failure by the Secretary of State’s office to publish notification of the proposed amendment in the months leading up to the November 2018 election resulted in the amendment not being properly certified. The amendment will now have to be passed by the consecutive 2019-2020 and the 2021-2022 General Assemblies in order to appear on the 2022 ballot. …Read the Rest
