Faisal Saeed Al-Mutar is an Iraqi born writer, satirist, human rights activist and founder of the Global Secular Humanist Movement. He is a staunch supporter and advocate for the separation of mosque and state/church and state. You may or may not agree with his stances on some issues, but his analogy on the current terrorist attacks and the Governments refusal to directly identify and confront the real enemy is spot on.

Below is a post from Faisal’s Facebook page that was written back in November 2015. In light of yesterday’s attacks in Brussels, these words are even more relevant today:

It must be incredibly frustrating as an Islamic Jihadist not to have your views and motives taken seriously by the societies you terrorize, even after you have explicitly and repeatedly stated them. Even worse, those on the regressive left, in their endless capacity for masochism and self-loathing, have attempted to shift blame inwardly on themselves, denying the Jihadists even the satisfaction of claiming responsibility.
