Free Community Clinics Aim to Bridge Gap between Gun Ownership and Development of Effective Defense Skills

Frederick, MD -(AmmoLand.com)- According to a recent study conducted by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the majority of first time gun owners (58.1%) purchase firearms for self-defense.

Heritage Training and Shooting Center, a full-service personal protection training center, shooting range and firearms retail store that focuses on safety and education, is seeking to bridge the gap between the purchase of firearms for personal protection and the development of defensive skills needed for firearms to be an effective protection tool.

As a way to increase awareness for safe and responsible gun ownership tactics, the Center is launching its “Arm Yourself with Experience” community safety initiative. The initiative kicks-off on October 8 with a series of free clinics throughout the day focused on self-defense tactics and responsible gun ownership. The center plans to continue to offer free clinics throughout the year.
