Homeowner Shoots, Kills Home Invader, Scares Off Accomplice

Las Vegas, NV –-(Ammoland.com)- News Sentinel reports this week (7/28/2016) in Knoxville, Tennessee, according to the Union County Sheriff’s Office, Emergency 911 dispatchers received a call about 4 a.m. of a break-in by two masked men in the 400 block of Beard Valley Road.

The caller told dispatchers the intruders were armed and had forced entry into the home. A fight ensued between the two men and the homeowner, who managed to shoot one of the home invasion robbers.

Within minutes of the call, deputies arrived on scene to find one intruder dead. The other man ran away, but that 33 year old local suspect was captured by police the next day.

Investigators identified him as the other masked armed robber who ran from the scene of an early-morning home invasion after the homeowner shot and killed his 39 year old partner from Tennessee.
