YouTube had a long, prickly relationship with firearms channels. They’ve suspended popular channels for murky reasons in the past, and have done so again today, The Shooter’s Mindset (since restored) and also Reid Henrichs of Valor Ridge.

Both were told, “This account has been suspended due to multiple or severe violations of YouTube’s policy against spam, gaming, misleading content, or other Terms of Service violations.”

Of course, neither site posts spam, offers misleading content, or in any other way violates Youtube’s terms of service.

Here’s the video Youtube told Henrich was a violation of their terms of service: a primer designed to help new shooters determine whether they should learn to shoot handguns or rifles first.

It clearly does not violate YouTube’s policies “against spam, gaming, misleading content, or other Terms of Service violations.”

As a longtime subscriber to the channel, it’s obvious to me that none of the videos posted to Henrichs’ come close to violating the site’s terms of service. I’d hypothesize that Henrichs is guilty of nothing more or less than being unapologetically patriotic in a time where that is a very unpopular viewpoint to have in Silicon Valley.
