Several large gun control organizations are digging deep to win enough Republican-held House districts to put Democrats in charge of the body.
Everytown, funded in primarily by former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, announced $5 million in ad buys in 15 targeted districts from coast-to-coast, aimed at airing one of two messages to would-be voters.
Produced by the Wieden+Kennedy ad firm — the same firm behind Nike’s recent Colin Kaepernick ad — the first spot, entitled, “Single File,” blends jarring news coverage of school shootings with a call to vote.

The second spot, “Places,” follows the vein of Everytown’s “Not one more” campaign with a youth narrator saying, “Not one more high school. Not one more church. Not one more movie theatre. Not one more office. Not one more concert. Not one more campus. Not one more newspaper. Not one more kindergarten class. Not one more.”

The spots will air in races in California, Colorado, Georgia, Kansas, Minnesota, Nevada, Florida, Michigan, New Jersey, Virginia, and Washington.
The move comes as Bloomberg, with a net worth of $51.2 billion according to Forbes, has also pledged $80 million this year to help Democrats take over the House through his Independence USA PAC. That group has been funding
