Gun Confiscation Fantasies Are Fast-Tracking The Democrat Party To Destruction

We’re seeing a sort of collective insanity taking over the political left in the United States, and the decline seems to be accelerating in recent weeks.

Despite the FBI’s recent release of Crime in the United States for 2014—showing that violent crime is continuing a dramatic long-term decline of over 18-percent for the past 15 years even as gun ownership has skyrocketed almost 82-percent—left wing pundits, journalists, and politicians have thrown rationality to the wind to launch a hysterical and poorly thought-out attack on the Second Amendment and their fellow Americans.

Going far beyond their “normal” calls for mere infringements on constitutional rights that have protected this nation since 1791, they’re now calling for forcible disarmament in newspaper op-eds, blog posts, and social media rants.

This comment from Cornell University Art Professor Carl Ostendarp to the NRA’s Facebook Page is sadly one of the less profane examples of the latter.

The final two paragraphs of Ostendarp’s rant seem to sum up the collective id of the radical left in the United States at this moment in time.
