Berger recently announced its newest precision bullet, the 6.5 Long Range Hybrid Target. The 144-grain Long Range Hybrid Target (LRHT) boasts a high ballistic coefficient (BC), jump-tolerant hybrid ogive profile for long-range shooting performance.

Berger 6.5 Long Range Hybrid Target

Berger says it verified the profile via Doppler Radar, and the bullet features less that 1-percent BC variation. That means this bullet is born to go long, delivering shot-to-shot consistency for targets out to 1,000 and beyond.

The company uses advanced and proprietary manufacturing processes, according to Berger. Its Meplat Reduction Technology applies controlled pressure along the nose of each LRHT bullet. It produces a homogeneous and repeatable profile for a highly consistent BC.

The 6.5mm 144-grain LRHTs excel in cartridges such as 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, .260 Rem., 6.5×284 and .26 Nosler. The 144-grain LRHT complements the company’s 140-grain Hybrid Target. They produce an identical stability factor and improved ballistics when launched from 1:8-inch twist barrels.
