American Tactical recently announced the release of its newest rifle platform, the Galeo. Further, the company blends U.S.-made receivers and barrels with Israeli Military Industry Galil parts to build a unique platform.

American Tactical Galeo Features

Firstly, American Tactical worked directly with the Israeli Military to de-mil and import former military-issued Galil rifles and parts. Additionally, those parts combine with American Tactical-produced receivers and barrels that are made in the company’s South Carolina manufacturing facility.

“The Galeo rifle’s design offers the best features of the AK-47 combined with added upgrades required for Israeli Military standards,” American Tactical said in a press release. “It comes complete with a U.S.A.-made receiver and barrel manufactured in Summerville, SC. All parts on the rifle except the receiver and barrel are authentic IMI (Israeli Military Industry) parts.”

The Galeo features an 18-inch barrel with a 1:7 twist rate. Additionally, furniture choices include wood or polymer, depending on the variant. Also, the Galeo comes with a side-folding stock to deliver compact transport or easy carrying afield, according to American Tactical.
