Federal Premium Ammunition unveiled a new shotshell load, the Hi-Bird Upland shotshell, designed with bird hunters in mind.
According to Federal Premium, the 12 gauge ammunition series combines speed and hard-hitting pellets to fold a variety of feathered friends.
Equipped with SoftCell technology, the load seeks to decrease perceived recoil in addition to offering consistent long range performance. The specialized two-piece wad tackles the highest doves, crows and pigeons in addition to pheasants and upland birds.
Blending both hardness and density, the Hi-Bird’s lead shot results in even patterns with more energy in the field making it “perfect for the field or competition,” says Federal Premium.
Hi-Bird Upland shells are available in five different weights as well as slugs to suit individual hunting needs. Federal Premium Ammunition says the shotshell boxes are currently on their way to dealers nationwide with prices ranging from $10.95 to $12.95.
