Famous singer calls for mass execution of NRA members — it doesn’t go over well

Nancy Sinatra, the daughter of the late Frank Sinatra and performer in her own right, outright suggested violence against members of the National Rifle Association in response to the Las Vegas massacre.

What did she say?

Sinatra on Tuesday tweeted, “The murderous members of the NRA should face a firing squad.”

She later deleted the tweet, but not before several outlets took notice of her suggestion of violence.

Sinatra didn’t address her tweet — or the backlash she received as a result of sharing it — instead she opted to retweet many other entertainers’ sentiments about President Donald Trump’s handling of Puerto Rico and calling for major gun control reform.

What was the response?

When called out for her violent rhetoric by another Twitter user who wrote, “You’re [sic] violence is noted! Tweeting something vile. I’m not even a gun person but I don’t generalize about every 1 [sic] who has a gun as murderous.”

Sinatra responded, “I didn’t say every one, I said the ‘murderous members of the NRA.’”
