CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A wannabe thug had some tough words for a clerk while he attempted to rob him, but the clerk used actions over words instead.

Local news reports;

Austin Lodge, 24, went into the Sutton Inn on Emily Drive at approximately 2 a.m. and demanded money from the clerk, according to the Clarksburg Police Department.

The clerk told police that Lodge, who was wearing a black hoodie, jeans with sequins, and earrings, covered his face and said, “Don’t make me pull my piece.”

Before Lodge had a chance to back up his words, the clerk pulled out his own piece and pointed it at him. Lodge quickly had all the thug drained out of him and took off running, apparently being afraid of an armed citizen that’s willing to fight back.

Lodge was arrested when he was found at another hotel and was arrested. He’s facing a charge of first-degree robbery.

And that’s the story. Nice and simple, don’t you think?
