DNREC’s Division of Fish & Wildlife Announces 2014/15 Hunting Photo Contest Winners

Delaware -(Ammoland.com)- The judges’ decisions are in, with five top entries chosen for the Division of Fish & Wildlife’s 2014/15 Delaware Hunting Photo Contest.

First place was awarded to Scott Lee of Laurel for “Sunrise Over Assawoman Bay,” featuring Tommy Lee waterfowl hunting at the Assawoman Wildlife Area near Frankford. The second place winner was “A Great Day of Duck Hunting!,” taken by Angela Garcia of Smyrna, of her 9-year-old son Dominic Garcia waterfowl hunting at the Cedar Swamp Wildlife Area near Townsend.

“Our hunting photo contest theme was ‘Hunters in Action,’ and this year’s winner captures a hunter anticipating the promise of hunting action with the sunrise,” Division of Fish & Wildlife Director David Saveikis said, noting that the top five included a variety of ages of hunters. “We’re sure the public will once again enjoy seeing these hunting action images captured here in Delaware,” he added.
