Dick’s Sporting Goods Loses $150 Million After Going Hard On Guns, But They’re Still Happy With Their Decision

The largest sporting goods chain in the Country has been under a lot of heat by gun owners when they decided to ban the sale of certain firearms from their stores, and then even more so when they upped the age requirement to purchase firearms to 21.
Now, they’re feeling the reality of turning their backs on gun owners and the 2nd Amendment with estimated losses of $150 Million since implementing the changes.
“The system does not work,” CEO Ed Stack said. “It’s important that when you know there’s something that’s not working, and it’s to the detriment of the public, you have to stand up.”
The shooting in Parkland, FL was the last straw for Stack, after it was revealed that the gunman had purchased a shotgun from a Dick’s location a few months before the shooting.
Stack is a gun owner and still says that he’s in favor of gun ownership, but he just doesn’t like 18-20 year olds owning guns. That part is clear. Under the Constitution, Stack apparently believes that this age bracket doesn’t quality.
