Delaware Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge Check Station to Host Daily Drawings
Daily waterfowl blind drawings for state blinds
Delaware -(Ammoland.com)- Although Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge will not be hosting waterfowl hunting this year due to an ongoing wetland restoration project, hunters will still be able to hunt from state blinds on the adjoining state-owned Prime Hook Wildlife Area and, like last year, participate in blind drawings at the federal refuge’s check station, DNREC’s Division of Fish & Wildlife announced today.
“Since we do not have a check station at Prime Hook Wildlife Area and we have limited parking at Prime Hook’s boat ramp, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service is continuing to allow us to hold daily waterfowl blind drawings for our state-owned blinds plus one nearby federally-owned blind at the Prime Hook NWR check station, the same as last year,” said DNREC Regional Wildlife Manager Rob Gano. “We will not be offering self-serve blind check-out for our regular waterfowl season.”
