The manhunt for escaped murderers Richard Matt and David Sweat has taken police all over upstate New York, but appears to be closing in as new clues have popped up.

According to PIX11:

The search for escaped killers [Matt and Sweat] is focused on an area surrounding a burglarized cabin in Franklin County, New York, the district attorney there told CNN on Monday.

A witness there saw someone run into the woods near the cabin Saturday, and law enforcement officials think it could have been one of the missing inmates, acting District Attorney Glenn MacNeill said.

The cabin is located approximately 20 miles from the maximum-security Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, N.Y. The duo escaped from Dannemora between 10:30 p.m. on June 5 and 5:30 a.m. on June 6.

Matt and Sweat used power tools to drill through steel walls and navigated steam pipes within the facility before coming up on the streets of Dannemora via a manhole cover.
