Dan Wesson recently announced a new entry to its 1911 lineup, the Vigil Series. The new Dan Wesson Vigil utilizes a forged aluminum frame and stainless steel slide. The pistols come priced more affordably than others in the Dan Wesson lineup.

Dan Wesson Vigil Series

The Vigil round-top slide sports a tritium night sight on the front and a serrated tactical rear sight. The front and back strap exhibits 25-line-per-inch checkering. A rounded butt helps aid with comfortable concealed carry.

Speaking of carry, the aluminum frame shaves approximately six ounces of weight from a standard Government-size 1911. Each Vigil comes with premium components and feature a beveled magazine well. Carry bevel treatment, undercut trigger guards and hand-polished flats come standard. The trigger comes in at 3.5 to 5 pounds. Each gun ships with two magazines.

The Vigil Series comes in five different options, including 9mm, .45 ACP, full-size, Commander and suppressor-ready variants. The Vigil Commander with a 4.25-inch barrel, and the same features as the Government-size Vigil.
