Cobalt Kinetics Reveals its California-Legal Model 27 Lineup

Cobalt Kinetics has launched its new Model 27 rifle lineup, which the company says blends the feel of a hunting rifle with the “utility and versatility” of a MSR.

The California-Legal Cobalt Kinetics Model 27

The Model 27’s lower receiver and stock are designed enhance the shooter’s comfort and handling, Cobalt’s press release states. The receiver’s lower edge above the trigger has been lowered by .150″. The web of the grip has been raised “significantly,” which satisfies most states’ definitions to avoid being classified as a “pistol grip.” The grip’s shape and angle is “comfortable,” placing the hand slightly above and behind the trigger, Cobalt says. The stock, meanwhile, is fully adjustable for length of pull, drop, and cheek height.
