Cimarron Firearms revives 1847 Texas Ranger Walker .44 pistol

Cimarron Firearms, best known for its authentic Old West replica firearms, rolls out its exact replica of the 1847 Texas Ranger Walker.
The .44 black powder repeating pistol was on of the largest and most powerful pistols and Cimarron said its version will be authentic in order to pay homage to the original. Cimarron’s replica will feature company markings and original finish.
Texas Ranger Capt. Samuel Hamilton Walker and Samuel Colt teamed up to create a close range handgun, which would eventually lead to the development of the original 1847 Walker. The .44-/45 revolver, carried in a saddle mounted holster, was carried by Walker in the Mexican-American War. Unfortunately, Walker was killed on the battlefield shortly after receiving his pair of 1847 Walkers. Colt only manufactured 1,100 of the 1847 Walkers — 1,000 military models and 100 civilian variants.
